Auto Gallery on Source Forge

Auto Gallery is now a project on Source Forge:

Currently I've only got the SVN running, but I'm planning to get version 3 stable over the next few weeks. I've also uploaded 3.10 alpha here, just for the curious. You'll notice the following new features:

* User Galleries
* Sub gallery pages
* New look for gallery navigation
* XML and thumbnail files for galleries are now located inside the related gallery directory

If anyone is interested in becoming a contributer to the Auto Gallery project, please send me an email including the following details:

* Age
* Location
* Experience with PHP and e107
* What you can contribute
* What you would like added/changed in Auto Gallery

Auto Gallery 3.01 BETA

I'm still going on a number of bugs reported to the Auto Gallery bug tracker (yes, I do read it), so I'm still a while away for a stable release. However 3.01 fixes a number of bugs reported.

Auto Gallery 3.00 BETA

I've just put a BETA version of Auto Gallery 3.00. This version has had a massive re-write of the code core, moving away from the old, slow 'AutoGal_GetElementInfo' function to the 'AutoGal_CMediaObj' class (finally).

For those who are REALLY keen, feel free to check it out. The random image plugin will not work with it yet. There are a number of bugs and additions I have to get on top of in the coming weeks before I put this version in the main Auto Gallery stream. Depending on my motivation levels, I'll see if I can add User Galleries.

This version should be treated as unstable.

Auto Gallery BETA version

I've put up a BETA version of Auto Gallery for those interested in trying it out. It may fix some memory and performance problems found in version 2.61.

The BETA version includes the new database caching feature, which I'm still working on.

This version should be treated as unstable.

Random Image and Auto Gallery 2.6x

Yeah I know, Auto Gallery 2.6x screws up the random image plugin.

Work around: Turn off preview image creation.

I'll fix it soon.

Auto Gallery 2.61

Mostly bug fixes in this version.

Changes in 2.61:

+ Bug report admin page (with system dump feature)
+ Setting to turn on/off e107 search integration
* Issue fixed when starting slide shows on images with a quote in the name, in new windows
* Admin menu actions options now display correctly
* Image limiting without creating pv_* images works
* Updating paths happens instantly (as opposed to reloading the page to take effect)
* Fixed issue with incorrect dates/times shown on files
% Fixed up directory listing class, should be slightly faster (preparing for DB caching)
* Auto Gallery title is now used in the e107 search drop down box
% Search now uses GalleryList class (preparing for DB caching)

Auto Gallery 2.60

So I've done most major features except caching (which I attempted, but need more testing) and user galleries.

Changes in 2.60:

+ Preview image creation (pv_* images)
+ Timer-based slide shows
+ (Tarek Taha) Embed code/link text boxes
+ Override HTTPS detection setting
+ New window arguments split up into individual options
+ Override view size setting - Choose custom view (preview) sizes for individual files
+ Clear meta data admin function - Clears comments, ratings, high scores, descriptions, view hits and email hits for selected items
* Fixed missing end div in admin menu (thanks Wahooney)
* Fixed spelling mistakes in English language files
* Aspect ratios fixed?
* Hopefully some improvement on path guessing
* Gallery name displays correctly in search
* Search - Selecting root works
* Search - Mixed up options for search description and search submitter username fixed
* Leech .htaccess settings moved to gallery .htaccess file

Auto Gallery 2.55 out

Changes since 2.53:

* German language pack updated (thanks Zippo)
* Danish language pack updated (thanks Mobil Manden)
* French language pack updated (thanks Vidal Arpin, props to Nathaniel Saint Martin)
+ Now integrates with e107 search (thanks Kevin Finnin)
+ HTTP and absolute file paths can now be set by the user
* Fixed the path bug I created in 2.54 which screwed up everything
* Fixed the watermarking path problem
+ Maximum page distance setting to summarize galleries with many pages
+ Added 'Use XML Tracker for Top Scores' setting: alternative way of setting arcade top scores
